The Project

Latch stands for Leeds Action to Create Homes. It’s a charitable organisation that refurbishes derelict and run-down houses in the Chapeltown, Harehills and Burley areas of Leeds. When they’re fully modernised and furnished, the properties provide supported housing for people who are homeless or in housing need and are ready to make a positive change in their lives. Most of the renovation work is done by Latch staff and volunteers. Some have building trade experience already, while others learn new skills as they work on site. They don’t just create houses, but somewhere you can really call home.

dg3 was commissioned to create an identity that pulled together the three strands of the organisation — housing, volunteering and training — into a coherent whole.

Working to a limited budget, dg3 pulled together a team to transform confusing and graphically under-performing  visuals into a bright, professional but friendly identity that celebrates Latch’s vital work, talented staff and engaging service users.

We created a new logo, stationery, website, publicity leaflet, poster, pull up display stands and window graphics for the head office shop front.
